Danielle Colby was a Jehovah’s Witness who was born in Davenport. 2] She got engaged to Robert Strong in 2004 and had two children. Colby's television career eventually resulted in her divorce. WQAD-TV said that Colby's television career led to her separation in the month of May. She claimed that fame and notoriety were not easy issues for him to manage and their relationship didn't work out. This prompted in her the desire to be a burlesque dancer; and when she returned with her family in the Quad Cities area of Iowa,[2] she created the professional burlesque group Burlesque Le Moustache, with nine performers, including Colby herself under the stage name Dannie Diesel. They are currently touring across in eastern Iowa as well as western Illinois. Six years ago, Colby was the founder of a school for burlesque known as Dannie Diesel's bump and grin Academy located in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood.
