Kelly Clarkson

 Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24 in 1982) is an American singer, songwriter as well as a writer and TV personality. She rose to fame following her win in the inaugural season of American Idol in 2002, which earned her a recording deal with RCA. "A Moment Like This" was her first single was a top hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was the highest-selling single in the country in 2002. It was part of her debut album Thankful (2003) that debuted on the top spot of the Billboard 200. Clarkson quit Idol management to concentrate on pop rock and reinvent her image in the form of Breakaway (2004). Supported by four US top ten hits - the title song, "Since U Been Gone", "Behind These Hazel Eyes" as well as "Because of You" The album Breakaway sold more than 12 million copies worldwide and was awarded two Grammy Awards. Clarkson was also involved in the creative process in the making of her third studio album, My December (2007). She co-wrote all tracks and served as the executive producer. But her label was unhappy with the album's dark rock style and did not promote it with enthusiasm. The singer's fourth and fifth studio albums, The Best I Ever Wanted (2009) and Stronger (2011), returned to a more mellow and pop rock sound which was her second US number-one album , and the second making her the first artist to be awarded the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album twice. Both albums spawned a Hot 100 number-one single: "My Life Would Be Awful Without You" is the record for having the most significant leap to the top spot in the history of the chart as well as "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)", which became her top-selling single in the world. Clarkson then had the best-selling Christmas album of the year with Wrapped in Red (2013). Its single, "Underneath the Tree" was named ASCAP's most popular Christmas track released in the 21st century. Piece by Piece (2015) was her seventh studio album. The title track debuted at the top of the charts in the US. After quitting RCA and signing with Atlantic in the year 2016, Clarkson released her soul-influenced eighth album, Meaning of Life (2017), and her second album for Christmas called When Christmas Comes Around... (2021).
