 Jennifer Shrader Lawrence was born 15 August 1990. The highest-paid actress of the world in 2016 and 2015, her movies have grossed over $6 billion worldwide to date. Lawrence was one of the top 100 influential people around the world in 2013 by Time. Lawrence was also featured on the Forbes Celebrity 100 List from 2013 until 2016. Lawrence also performed in school musicals and church plays throughout her childhood. She was fourteen years old when she was spotted by a talent scout from New York City while on vacation with her family. Then she moved to Los Angeles and began her acting career through guest appearances on television. Her first major role was as a main character on the sitcom The Bill Engvall Show (2007-2009). Her film debut came with a supporting role in the drama Garden Party (2008), and had her breakthrough playing an impoverished teenager in the independent crime drama Winter's Bone (2010). Lawrence rose to stardom as Mystique, a mutant in the X-Men series (2011-2019) and Katniss Everdeen (2012-2015) in The Hunger Games series. This made her the highest-grossing action heroine of all time Lawrence received various accolades for her three collaborations with filmmaker David O. Russell. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress (2012) for her performance as a young widow who has issues in Silver Linings Playbook (2012).
