George Foreman

 George Edward Foreman, born on January 10, 1949 George Edward Foreman, born January 10, 1949, is an American ex-professional boxer, entrepreneur, and minister. When he was a boxer, he earned the nickname "Big George" and fought between 1967 between 1997 and 1967. He was a two-time world heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist. The most famous of his achievements is his George Foreman Restaurant, that he launched as an entrepreneur. After a troubled growing up, Foreman took up amateur boxing and was awarded a gold medal in the heavyweight division at the 1968 Summer Olympics. He was a professional boxer in 1973, claiming the title of world heavyweight champion with a spectacular second round knockout of Joe Frazier. After defending the belt twice and losing his first professional bout to Muhammad Ali in the Rumble in The Jungle, in 1974. Following a loss in 1977 to Jimmy Young, Foreman decided to step down. He then became a certified Christian minister. [5] Ten year later In 1995, he returned and was able to win the unified WBA as well as the IBF heavyweight titles. He beat 26-year-old Michael Moorer. He dropped the WBA belt instead of facing his mandatory title defense soon after. Following a single successful title defense against Axel Schulz, Foreman relinquished his IBF title as well on June 28th on the 28th of June, 1995. He was 46 years old and had 169 days. 6. Foreman is the oldest person to ever be crowned the world heavyweight boxing championship with major distinctions and the second oldest at any weight class, after Bernard Hopkins (at light heavyweight). He quit in 1997 at the age of 48, with a total of 76 victories (68 knockouts) and five loss.
