Cameron Diaz

Cameron Michelle Diaz was born on August 30, 1972. She is famous for her roles in animated romantic comedies as well as other films. Diaz has received numerous accolades, including nominations for four Golden Globe Awards, a British Academy Film Award and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2013 she was the most-paid Hollywood actress over 40 years old. [1] The U.S. box office gross of her films is more than $3 billion US. Worldwide grosses exceed $7 billion dollars. That makes her the fifth-highest-grossing domestic box office actor. Diaz's enthralling early films established her status as a sexual icon and one of the most bankable actresses. Born in San Diego, California, Diaz was raised in Long Beach. While in high school, she signed a modeling contract with Elite Model Management. At the age of 21 she made her film debut alongside Jim Carrey in The Mask (1994). Following a minor role in the romantic comedy My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), she starred as the main role in the Farrelly brothers comedy The Way Mary Goes (1998) that earned her fame and recognition and earned her first Golden Globe nomination. The two subsequent projects she starred in--the sports drama Any Given Sunday and Spike Jonze's fantasy film Being John Malkovich (both 1999)--lent Diaz a fame as a dramatic actor. Diaz had praised the roles she played in Cameron Crowe's Vanilla Sky (2001) and Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York (2002) and had greater commercial success in the action comedy Charlie's Angels (2000) and its 2003 sequel and also for playing the role of the role of Princess Fiona in the Shrek franchise (2001-2010). Her subsequent films included In Her Shoes (2006), The Holiday (2006) and What Happens in Vegas (2008). She also played in Knight and Day (2010) and The Green Hornet (2011). Diaz was off in 2022 after starring in three critically-panned, but financially successful film projects in 2014: The Other Woman, Sex Tape and Annie. Diaz is also the writer of two health-related books: The Body Book (2013) and The Body Book (2014), which was an New York Times bestseller, and The Longevity Book (2016). Her personal life attracted a lot of media attention throughout the course of her career, particularly regarding her relationships and style. In the year 2015, she was married to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden; they have an infant daughter through surrogate adoption in 2019.
