Amanda Laura Bynes (born April 3, 1986) is an American actress who is known for her work in films and television throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s. She has been praised for her performances in the sports comedy She's the Man (2006) as well as the musical Hairspray (2008) as well as the comedy-drama Easy A (2010). Bynes is a public figure who is awash with addiction to drugs and legal issues. In 2010, she announced that she would take an unspecified break from acting due to personal issues. In 2018, Bynes expressed interest in getting back into acting for television. From August 2013 to March 20,22, she was placed in a conservatorship.
