Born and raised in Oakland, California, Zendaya began her career as a child performer and model. In 2010 she made her TV debut on Shake It Up, as Rocky Blue. She also appeared in K.C. as the main character. for the channel. Her role was the character undercover (2015-2018). She made her feature film debut in 2017 with Spider-Man: Homecoming. Later she appeared in sequels. Zendaya was the youngest winner of the Primetime Emmy Awards in Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (2019-present) for her performance as Rue Bennett, a drug-addicted teenager in the HBO drama series Euphoria. Zendaya's film appearances include The Greatest Showman (2017) and Malcolm & Marie (2021). She also has the role of Rue Bennett in the romantic drama Dune (2021).
