 Wonder Woman is a 2017 superhero film based upon the DC Comics character of the same name. It was produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films. The film is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. [7] Directed by Patty Jenkins and written by Allan Heinberg from a story by Heinberg, Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs, Wonder Woman has Gal Gadot as the title role, alongside Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen and Elena Anaya. After her first appearance in Batman: V Superman: Dawn of Justice Wonder Woman is the second live-action live-action movie in theaters. 8. Wonder Woman is the Amazon princess Diana who seeks to stop World War I. She believes Ares, the long-time enemy of the Amazons and a spy, was the one who started the war. Steve Trevor, an American pilot and spy, is a pilot who crashes on Themyscira and provides information to Diana. Ivan Reitman was to direct and produce the film. The project floundered in development hell for many years; Jon Cohen, Todd Alcott and Joss Whedon as well as others were also attached to the project in various stages. Warner Bros. announced the film in 2010 , and Jenkins agreed to direct in 2015. The inspiration for Wonder Woman came from Wonder Woman creator William Moulton Marston’s 1940s stories George Perez's 1980s short stories about Wonder Woman, and the New 52 version of the Wonder Woman character. Principal photography started on November 21st, 2015, with filming taking places throughout the United Kingdom, France and Italy and concluded on
