Steve Burton (actor)

 Burton was first noticed in the role of surfer Chris Fuller on Out of This World in 1987, and later appeared as Harris Michaels on Days of Our Lives in 1988. He pursued acting studies at Theater Theater, Hollywood, California during the 1990s and was mentored by Jon Cedar. [1][2] Burton began playing Jason Morgan on the daytime soap series General Hospital in 1991, and won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in an Drama Series in 1998. 3] In 2007, Burton also appeared as Jason in the debut season of General Hospital Night Shift.Burton was in the science fiction mini-series Taken and in the movie The Last Castle in 2001 alongside Robert Redford and James Gandolfini. Also, Burton has been the voice actor of Cloud Strife in the Kingdom Hearts series, as well as in the majority of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. He voiced the character for Cloud in Kingdom Hearts II and its sequel, Kingdom Hearts II. He appears in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the CGI movie Final Fantasy VII and the video games Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII. On August 28, 2012 Burton made it clear that he would leave General Hospital in October. He was added to The Young and the Restless as Dylan McAvoy on January 29 the 29th of January, 2013. 5. Burton made it clear via social media on the 6th of October 2016, that he was resigning his contract with The Young and the Restless, and that the show would not be renewing the contract. 6/7/7] He was later presented with a second Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor for his The Young and the Restless role in 2017. [8] In June 2017, ABC Daytime announced that Burton will be returning to General Hospital. [9][10] In November 2021, Burton was fired from General Hospital due to his refusal to comply with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the production. It was announced that Burton, who had been Harris Michaels on Days of Our Lives and Days of Our Lives Beyond Salem, was joining Days of Our Lives Beyond Salem's cast in the month of April 2022.
