Robin Williams

 Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21 1951 - August 11 (August 11, Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 - August 11, 2014) was an American comedian and actor. Known for his improvisational talents and the wide range of characters he invented at the spur of a moment, and later portrayed in films in comedies and dramas alike, he is widely regarded as one of the best comedians of all time.Williams started performing stand-up comedy in San Francisco and Los Angeles in the late 1970s. He gained fame as the alien Mork in the ABC sitcom Mork & Mindy (1978-1982).After his debut film lead role in Popeye (1980) and later, he starred in several critically and commercially successful films which included The World According to Garp (1982), Moscow on the Hudson (1984), Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), Dead Poets Society (1989), Awakenings (1990), The Fisher King (1991), Patch Adams (1998), One Hour Photo (2002) and World's Greatest Dad (2009). Hook (1991), Aladdin (92), Mrs. Doubtfire (93), Jumanji (95), The Birdcage (1996), Good Will Hunting (191997), Night at the Museum (2006-2014) were some of his other box-office hits. He was nominated for four Academy Awards, winning Best Supporting actor in Good Will Hunting. Williams was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Golden Globe Awards. He was also awarded five Grammy Awards. Williams, aged 63, passed away at Paradise Cay in California by suicide on the 11th of August 2014. A thorough autopsy confirmed Williams was suffering from a Lewy body disease that was not recognized.
