Pyrlig

 Winchester, Wessex; Father Beocca and Father Pyrlig discuss the upcoming wedding and Thyra Pyrlig identifies to as a strange beauty. He says that there is nothing more beautiful than a naked woman who has arms stretched out. They are joined by Alfred in his Reading Room. He recounts the raids in Daneland. Father Pyrlig is assigned by Alfred to go to East Anglia in order to deliver a letter of thanks to King AEthelstan. "Episode 2.5" Father Pyrlig is taken captive by Sigefrid, Erik. He describes how the cross slowly takes away men. It's torture as well as execution. Pyrlig is to be put up on a cross as well. Instead, he asks his brothers to execute him quickly. Thanks to Uhtred Father Pyrlig gets the chance to fight for his freedom. Pyrlig disarms Boltan but spares his life. Sigefrid runs towards the square and kills Boltan. He also demands to know how Pyrlig was taught to fight. Pyrlig admits that he's a Briton. He was raised to slaughter Saxons. He offers Pyrlig the chance to be part of his army, however, he decides to turn Sigefrid down
