Austin Richard Post, born July 4 1995, is an American rapper and singer. Post is also known professionally as Post Malone. He is known for his diverse vocals, Malone has gained acclaim for his ability to blend genres and subgenres of hip hop, pop, R&B and trap. Malone's stage name is derived from his birth name, which he entered into the rapper's name generator. The first single he released, "White Iverson", reached number 14 on US Billboard Hot 100. Malone signed a recording contract with Republic Records and released his debut album Stoney (2016) It included the diamond-themed single "Congratulations" (featuring Quavo) and set the record for most weeks on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.His second album, Beerbongs & Bentleys (2018), debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and set numerous streaming records. It featured the US top singles "Rockstar" with 21 Savage and "Psycho" and was nominated at the 61st Grammy Awards for Album of The Year.
