Nicole Brown Simpson (nee Brown; May 19 1959 - June 12, 1994) was the ex-wife of former professional American footballer, O. J. Simpson, to whom she was married from 1985 until 1992. She was the mother to their children, Sydney, and Justin. In the year following Simpson's divorce, Brown was attacked and murdered at her Los Angeles home with Ron Goldman her close friend. O. J. Simpson was known for his past of abusing physically and making threats to kill Brown was arrested and charged with both murders. After a highly controversial and widely reported criminal trial that included evidence that linked Simpson to the murders, Simpson was acquitted of all charges. Simpson was later found to be to be responsible for both deaths as part of a civil lawsuit in 1997.
