News

News is information about current events. Information about current events can be delivered through many forms of media, such as printing and word of mouth, as well as postal systems, broadcasting and electronic communications. Witnesses or observers may also share this information. News is sometimes called "hard news" to differentiate it from soft media.Common subjects for news stories include war, government, politics, education, health, the environment economics, business fashion, entertainment and sport, as well in odd or bizarre news events. Government announcements, including royal ceremonies, laws, taxes, criminals, and public health are referred to as news since the beginning of time. Technological and social developments, often driven by espionage and communication networks, have accelerated the speed at that news spreads, and also affected its content.Throughout history, people have transported new information through oral means. Newspapers were established in Europe in the beginning of the modern age after they developed in China over many centuries. In the 20th century, television and radio were important tools for transmitting news. Whilst in the 21st the internet has been playing a similar role.
