Mac Miller

Malcolm James McCormick (January 19 1992 - September 7 September 7, 2018), known professionally as Mac Miller, was an American musician and record producer. Miller began his career in Pittsburgh's Hip Hop scene at age fifteen in 2007. He signed a record deal with Rostrum Records in 2010 and released his groundbreaking mixtapes K.I.D.S. (2010) and Best Day Ever (2011). Blue Slide Park, Miller's first studio album was the first album that was independently distributed. It was a top-selling album on the US Billboard 200 in 1995. Following his second studio album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off (2013) Miller quit Rostrum and signed with the major label Warner Bros. Records in 2014. He released four studio albums under them: GO:ODAM (2015) The Divine Feminine (2016) and Swimming (2018). The posthumous Circles (2020) was the fourth album he released. For Swimming the album, he was posthumously nominated for an Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. As the name of Larry Fisherman, he was also a producer of records, and was later nominated for a Grammy Award. On September 7, 2018, Miller died from an accidental overdose of cocaine, fentanyl and alcohol at his home, at the age 26.
