Luke Stoltman

After a strong performance in Europe's Strongest Man in the previous year, Luke made his debut at World's Strongest Man. Although Luke was unable to make it to the finals, following a 3rd place finish in his heat, he gained invaluable experience and began to be noticed on the international stage. The next year (2017) the athlete improved on his BSM place (4th)and at WSM the teeny tiny chance of missing a place in the final, finishing third in his heat ahead of future WSM champions Hafthor Bjornsson and Martins Licis. At this stage in Luke's career, although he was steadily improving his strength, it was not reflected in his performance at the contest. He was disappointed when he placed 6th in BSM in 2018, having lost out to Robert Oberst and Zydrunas Svickas who are both four-time WSM winners. Luke's role was to work in the offshore area for at least three weeks without having access to strongman training equipment. He also fell to Robert Oberst, a four-time winner of the WSM and placed in a disappointing 6th place at BSM. This led to a significant leap forward when he was able to qualify for the WSM finals in his first year as a professional finishing 7thoverall alongside Tom, the younger brother. Tom who finished 5th. The two were the first brothers and sister to qualify for the WSM final and earned them the title 'The World's Strongest Brothers'.
