Lamar Odom

 Lamar Joseph Odom, born on November 6, 1979, is an American professional basketball player who played professionally for a time. Odom was a player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and won championships in 2009, 2010 , and the year 2011. In addition, he was recognized as the NBA Sixth Man-of-the Year in the year 2011. In high school, Odom received Parade's national player of year award in 1997. Odom played college basketball at the University of Rhode Island and was awarded all-conference honors in his debut season with the Atlantic 10 Conference. He was later able to turn into an NBA professional. Odom was the fourth pick in the 1999 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. Odom was named for the NBA All-Rookie Team the next year. However, it was during his four years with the Clippers that Odom was removed twice because of a violation of the league's anti-drug policy. He signed as a restricted-free agent with the Miami Heat and played the 2003-04 season there before being transferred to Los Angeles. Odom spent seven seasons with the Lakers, who traded him to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. His career fell after the trade. He was traded back to the Clippers in 2012 and briefly played in Spain in 2014.Odom played for the United States national team, winning a bronze medal at the Olympics in
