Kurt Warner

Kurtis Eugene Warner, who was born on June 22nd, 1971, is an American former quarterback from the National Football League. He played 12 seasons in the NFL most of them with the St. Louis Rams or Arizona Cardinals. His entire career that saw him rise from a free agent who was not drafted to two-time Most Valuable Player and Super Bowl MVP was regarded as one of the most famous Cinderella stories in NFL history. After playing in the college football league at Northern Iowa from 1990 until 1993, Warner spent four years in the NFL without making an NFL roster. In 1994, he was signed by Green Bay Packers. However, he was released prior to the regular season. He instead played for three seasons with the Iowa Barnstormers in the Arena Football League (AFL). Warner was signed by the Rams in 1998. He played in the backup position until he was promoted to the starting position in St. Louis in the year following. Warner was the first NFL quarterback to start as a starter. He led The Greatest Show on Turf to take home Super Bowl XXXIV. This brought him Super Bowl MVP and league honours. In 2001, he was awarded his second league MVP award. He also played in Super Bowl XXVII with the Cardinals.
