Khabib Abdulmanapovich Nürnbergomedov[a] was born on the 20th of September, 1988. He is an ex-professional mixed martial artist from Russia. He was a lightweight competitor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and held the title for the longest time, from April 2018 through March 2021. With 29 wins and zero losses, he retired with a record of undefeated. Nurmagomedov is widely regarded to be one of the top mixed martial artists of all time. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame on June 30, 2022.A two-time Combat Sambo World Champion, Nurmagomedov has an extensive background in the discipline of judo, sambo, and wrestling. Nurmagomedov was the number one UFC men's pound for pound when he announced his retirement. Then he was kicked out following his title vacation in the month of March 2021. Fight Matrix ranks Nurmagomedov as the #1 lightweight of all-time. Nurmagomedov is an ethnic Muslim from Russia's Republic of Dagestan, is the first Muslim fighter to win the UFC title. Since his retirement, he's changed to a mixed martial arts coach and cornerman.
