Ken Burns

 American filmmaker Kenneth Lauren Burn was born on July 29 1953. He is best known for his TV series and documentary films. The work of Kenneth Lauren Burn is usually produced with WETA-TV or the National Endowment for the Humanities and is distributed by PBS. He also served as the executive producer for The West (1996) and Cancer The Emperor of All Maladies (2015). Burns' documentaries have garnered two Academy Award nominations (for 1981's Brooklyn Bridge and 1985's The Statue of Liberty) and have received numerous Emmy Awards, among other awards.
