Kelly Reilly

Reilly wrote her Prime Suspect producers to request work. Helen Mirren was the main character in Prime Suspect. Six months later, she auditioned to be a part in "Prime Suspect 4 : Inner Circle", which was broadcast on ITV on May 7, 1995. In the year following she was in an episode of the Carlton UK television period drama series Bramwell as a troubled young woman. Six years later, she appeared alongside Mirren in the film The Last Orders. Her first role as a professional was followed by a number of roles on the English stage. She appeared in four stage productions together with Terry Johnson: Elton John's Glasses (1997), The London Cuckolds (1998), The Graduate (2000), and Piano/Forte (2006). Seventeen Johnson wrote Piano/Forte for her, and she said, "Kelly is possibly the most natural, dyed-in the-wool, deep-in-the-bone actress I've ever worked with. "Reilly said that Karel Reisz was the person who taught her the most about acting. He directed her in The Yalta Game, Dublin 2001. She added, "He was my masterclass. Without the show, there is no way I would have been able to play Miss Julie. "Reilly felt that she was being seen as a comedy stereotype, and sought a part in Last Orders directed by Fred Schepisi as the young Amy. In the following year, she was offered a role in Royal Court's 2001 reruns, which included Sarah Kane's Blasted. The Times called her "theatrical Viagra". [9] In 2002, Reilly starred with Audrey Tautou (Russian Dolls) in the role of Wendy, an English Erasmus student in the film L'Auberge espagnole. In the 2005 sequel Les Poupees russes, Reilly reprised her part as Wendy in the comedic L'Auberge Spanishe (The Spanish Apartment). She also appeared in the 2013 sequel, Casse-tete chinois (Chinese Puzzle). In 2005, Reilly also appeared in films like Mrs Henderson Presents (Russian Dolls) and Pride & Prejudice.
