Friendship

Friendship is an inter-personal relationship that involves the sharing of affection between two people. It is a stronger form of interpersonal bond that the term "acquaintance" or an "association" for example, a classmate, neighbor, coworker, or colleagueIn some cultures, the concept of friendship is limited to a few deeply bonded relationships. In other cultures, like the U.S. and Canada, a person could have many friends, plus perhaps a more intense relationship with just a few individuals, who could be called good friends or best friends. Other colloquial terms are besties, or Best Friends Forever (BFFs). There are many kinds of friendship, some which may vary from region to region, certain characteristics are present in all these bonds. They include the desire to spend time with each other while having fun, and being able to be in a positive, supporting role towards each another.Sometimes friends are different from family members, like the phrase "friends and family" or, sometimes, in relation to the term "lovers" (e.g., "lovers and friends"), although the distinction is blurred when it comes to friends who have advantages. Friendship zones are a place where someone is prevented from achieving the status of lover (see also Unrequited love).
