Elizabeth Hurley

In 1988, Hurley appeared briefly in a speaking part as a girl in "Last Seen Wearing", an episode of the detective show Inspector Morse, which was partially filmed in a real school, Reading Blue Coat [citation needed] Sonning, Berkshire. It is believed to be her first TV role. She also appeared as Rosie Japhet on an episode of Rumpole of the Bailey (Rumpole and the Barrow Boy) in the year. Hurley was the lead character in Christabel, a television drama that ran for four seasons in the latter half of 1988. After her appearance in John Cleese’s The Human Face (2001) she hosted the first series of Project Catwalk, a British reality TV show that aired on Sky 1 in 2006. Marcelle D'ArgySmith who was the editor of Cosmopolitan magazine, criticised Hurley as a presenter and claimed that Hurley was not a fashion expert. She dressed in a dress and appeared at premieres." Dylan Jones, GQ's fashion editor, has defended Hurley as someone who was "immersed in the world of fashion and style as an eminent celebrity." Her firing was only for one series. The bosses of her company believed she was too woody. Hurley filmed a guest part in the role of Veronica Cale in the pilot series of the NBC series Wonder Woman. The network chose not to continue the series. In July of 2011, it was announced that Hurley would join the fifth season of Gossip Girl for a multi-episode episode. Her character, Diana Payne, was described by the series' executive producers as "a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with", whose "entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters--including, and especially, Gossip Girl herself
