 Dwayne Douglas, better known as the Rock, is an American actor and former professional wrestler. The Rock is widely considered to be one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time,[he was integral to the development and the success of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in the Attitude Era, an industry boom during the latter part of the 1990s and early 2000s. Johnson wrestled for the WWF for eight years before pursuing acting as a profession. His films have grossed more than $3.5 billion in North America and over $10.5 billion worldwide,[8] making Johnson one of the world's highest-grossing and highest-paid actors.Prior to his emergence as the top-grossing actor in the late 2010s, Johnson was an athlete. At Freedom High School in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley, he ultimately was a standout in the school's wrestling and football teams. He was a top ten high school defensive tackle prospect. He was able to attract the attention of many NCAA Division I college football teams.
