Dove Olivia Cameron (born Chloe Celeste Hosterman on January 15 in 1996 [3]), is an American performer and actress. Her double role as the characters named for her in the Disney Channel comedy series Liv and Maddie was recognized with the Daytime Emmy Award in Outstanding Performer in Children's Programing. Cameron continued to work for Disney Channel, and she was the character Mal in Descendants (2015-2021). In 2016, Cameron starred in the NBC live TV musical Hairspray Live!. On stage, from the year 2018 until 2019, she performed the role of Cher Horowitz in an off Broadway rendition of the 1995 film Clueless and, in the year 2019, she debuted on the London stage with her portrayal of Clara Johnson in the musical The Light in the Piazza. Cameron was also a part of the comedy-thriller Vengeance (2022).As an artist, Cameron made her debut with the soundtrack album to Liv and Maddie (2015). The album also featured "If only" her debut single. The album debuted on the US Billboard 200 and was certified gold. Cameron also participated in Descendants 2 (2017-2019). The debut album, Bloodshot / Waste, was released in the year 2019. She dropped "Boyfriend" in 2022. The track was a commercial hit and reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also certified platinum by RIAA.
