Derek Chauvin

 Derek Michael Chauvin (/'SoUv@n/ SHOH-v@n'; born on March 19th 1976) is an American former police officer, who was convicted for the murder of George Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American man, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Chauvin was part of the Minneapolis Police Department between 2001 to the year 2000. He had been handcuffed for nine hours, as Floyd lay face down on the streets calling out "I can’t breathe." In the course of an arrest conducted with three other officers on 25 May 2020. In May, Chauvin was fired by the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) and was detained on the 29th of May. On May 26th, Chauvin was fired by the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) and was taken to custody on the 29th of May. He was also involved in the shooting death of Wayne Reyes, an Ojibwe native of the state, on October 29 of 2006. Chauvin nearly killed Ira Latrell Toles in the morning of May 24 in 2008. He beat and shot him twice. In August of 2011, he was placed on a three-day suspension because of his involvement in shooting unarmed Leroy Martinez. Chauvin struck the black boy 14 years old in the head by using the aid of a flashlight. He then shackled the boy's knee for 17 minutes without heeding the boy's complaints that he could not breathe.
