Dave Grohl

 David Eric Grohl (born January 14, 1969) is a popular American musician from the United States. He is the founder and leader of Foo Fighters. Before founding Foo Fighters, he served as the drummer for the grunge group Nirvana, from 1990 to 1994. He also joined the punk rock group Scream at the age of 17 when Kent Stax left. Following the collapse of Scream in 1990, Grohl was appointed drummer of Nirvana. Nevermind (1991) Nirvana's second album was the first to feature Grohl as drummer. It was a huge success. After Nirvana disbanded following the death of lead singer Kurt Cobain in April 1994, Grohl formed Foo Fighters as a solo project. The first Foo Fighters album was released in 1995. A whole band was formed to record and tour under the Foo Fighters name. They have released 10 studio albums Grohl is co-founder and drummer of the supergroup rock band Them Crooked Vultures, and has recorded and toured with Queens of the Stone Age. He has also participated in the projects that he has been involved in, Late! and Probot. Grohl began and directing Foo Fighters music videos back in 1997. The first documentary he directed, Sound City was released in 2013. The documentary miniseries Sonic Highways (2013) and What Drives Us (2021) followed. Grohl published an autobiography , titled The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music. Grohl as well as Foo Fighters appeared in Studio 666 as themselves in 2022. Classic Rock Drummers coauthor Ken Micallef described him as one of the most influential rock musicians over the past 20 years. Five years ago, Grohl was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Nirvana in 2014 and as a member of Foo Fighters in 2021.
