Christopher Julius Rock, born 7 February 1965 is an American actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He is famous for his comedy films TV, stage, and performances. He has won numerous awards which include four Primetime Emmy Awards, three Grammy Awards, and four Grammy Awards for best comedy album. He was ranked No. 5 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of all Time.He also ranked at No. 5 on Rolling Stone 's list of the 50 Best Stand-Up Comics of all Time.After years working as a stand-up comedian and appearing in minor film roles including Beverly Hills Cop II, Rock gained prominence as a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1993. While at SNL He appeared in movies New Jack City, Boomerang and CB4 in addition to the fact that he produced and wrote. The critically acclaimed 1996 HBO comedy special Bring the Pain, which was the second of five, made him popular. His other HBO comedy specials include Bigger & Blacker (1999) Never Scared (2004), Kill the Messenger (2008), and Chris Rock: Tamborine (2018). Everybody Hates Chris, which was based upon the childhood of Chris Rock, was created by, written, and produced and delivered by him. His talk show, The Chris Rock Show (2000-2000), was broadcast by HBO. It was praised by critics. applause for Rock's appearances in interviews with politicians and celebrities.
