Chris Pérez

 Christopher Gilbert Perez, born August 14, 1969, is an American guitarist. He is most well-known for his work as the lead guitarist of the Tejano band Selena y Los Dinos. On April 2nd in 1992, he was married Selena Perez, who was the leader of the group. Perez was one of the two kids of Gilbert Perez, Carmen Medina and was raised in San Antonio. He joined Shelly Lares' group in 1986 to begin his tenure. The late 1980s saw the beginning of a period when Perez was a well-known figure by Tejano musicians due to his guitar abilities. A.B. was intrigued by this. Quintanilla interested in Quintanilla's tale. was seeking another guitarist for the band he produced, Selena y Los Dinos. Between one and two years after Perez joined the band, he and Selena began a personal relationship.Selena's father, Abraham Quintanilla, forced them to end their relationship because he felt Perez's image might damage Selena's career. They remained friends despite his threats of disbanding the band. Abraham removed Perez from the group but prohibited Selena to go with Perez. Perez wed Selena in 1992. Selena her ex-friend, who was also the former director of the boutiques she owned was shot dead and killed on March 31, 1995. Selena's death deeply devastated Perez, who began abusing drugs and alcohol.Perez created the Chris Perez Band and began writing songs for their debut album. Their first album, Resurrection was released by Hollywood Records. It won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Record. After the release of their second album, Una Noche Mas (2002), the band broke in two. Perez continued in the music industry and frequently was a part of A.B. Perez was a member of the Kumbia Kings, and Kumbia All Starz. In 2010, he created the Chris Perez Project with Angel Ferrer who is who is an American singer. In 201
