Calum Hood

 Calum Thomas Hood (born 25 January 1996) is an Australian musician and musician best well-known as the vocalist and bassist of the band pop rock 5 Seconds of Summer. 5 Seconds of Summer has sold more than 10,000,000 albums and sold over two million tickets for concerts in the world in 2014. The band is considered to be one of Australia's most lucrative exports of music. David Hood is his father and his mother were both ex-workers of Coca-Cola. Joy Hood was an employee of a superannuation plan. Hood claims Cook Island Maori descent through his mother. Hood is the younger brother of the singer and songwriter Mali-Koa. Hood describes his childhood as being "middle-class" with "not the most glamorous of lifestyles." Hood was a student at Norwest Primary School, where the band mate he would later become was Michael Clifford. Hood attended Norwest Christian College for his high school education. He was a bandmate with future friend Luke Hemmings at Year 7 when he sang the cover version of Secondhand Serenade at a school talent show. Hood was a fervent athlete from his childhood through his teenage years.
