Bodybuilding

Bodybuilding is the process of using exercises that increase resistance and develop one's muscles (muscle building) by enhancing muscle strength for aesthetic purposes. [1] It is distinct from other similar sports like powerlifting in that it is focused on physical appearance and not strength. The person who participates in this sport is called a bodybuilder. In professional bodybuilding, athletes appear in lineups and perform specified poses (and later individual posing routines) for a panel of judges who rate their performance based on the symmetry, muscle strength, size of their body, their conditioning, posing and stage performance. Bodybuilders are prepared for competitions through eliminating unnecessary body fat, enhanced in the final stage with an extracellular dehydration and carbo-loading for maximum muscular definition and vascularity. They also tan and shave their bodies to highlight the beauty of their skin under the spotlights.A bodybuilder does the upward incline of the dumbbell press.Bodybuilding requires a significant amount of effort and time to reach the desired outcomes. If a bodybuilder lifts for seven hours a week, they might be able initially to gain 8-20 pounds (4-9kg) of muscle each year. In the next two years, gains decrease to 5-15 pounds (2-7kg) over the next two years. In five years time, gains can drop to 3-10 pounds (1-5kg).
