Martin began her Main Street series. In an interview that she loves small towns. She has based Camden Falls on Woodstock, New York. The grandmother started a sewing shop because of her love for sewing. The books have at one point or another, discussed almost everyone and all shops within the town. Martin claims that Martin had to make an entirely new town that was very enjoyable. Every book comes with a comprehensive plan of the town.
