Bernie Mac

 Bernard Jeffrey McCullough (October 5 1957 until August 9 8th, 2008) well-known by his stage name Bernie Mac, was an American comedian and actor. Born and raised on Chicago's South Side, Mac gained recognition as a stand-up comedian. He joined fellow comedians Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, and D. L. Hughley in the movie The Original Kings of Comedy.After briefly hosting the HBO show Midnight Mac, Mac appeared in a variety of films with smaller roles. The most memorable roles he played in films were Frank Catton and Mr. 3000. His eponymous series, which ran from 2001 to was a huge success and was rewarded with two Emmy Award nominations as Outstanding Lead Actor in the field of Comedy Series.
