 Angelina Jolie DCMG (/dZoU'li born Angelina Jolie Voight;[June 4 1974) is an American actress, director and human rights activist. She has been the recipient of many awards, which include an Academy Award and three Golden Globe Awards She has been named the top-paid in Hollywood actress several times.Jolie made her debut on screen as a child alongside her father, Jon Voight, in Looking to Get Out (1982) and her career in film started in earnest a decade later with the low-budget feature Cyborg 2 (1993), followed by her first leading part in a major feature, Hackers (1995). She starred in the highly acclaimed biographical cable movies George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998), and received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1999 drama Girl, Interrupted. Her part as the video game heroine in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) established her as a prominent Hollywood actress. Her action-star career continued by appearing in Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Wanted (2008), Salt (2010), and The Tourist (2010), and received acclaim from critics for her performances in the dramatic films A Mighty Heart (2007) and Changeling (2008) as well as the latter was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Her most commercially successful filmography includes Maleficent (2014) and its sequel in 2019 , as well as the superhero film Eternals (2021). Since 2008, she's been a voice actress in Kung Fu Panda's animated films. Jolie has also written and directed war dramas In the Land of Blood and Honey (2011) and Unbroken (2014).
