Alba Baptista

 Alba Baptista began her career at the age of 16, playing the main character in Simao Cayatte's short film Miami. The film won her the Festival Iberico de Cine Best Actress Award for her performance. Her acting career was further enhanced by her appearances in the Portuguese series A Criacao as well as the television series A Impostora, and Jogo Duplo. Alba's film career was successful in Portugal over the next few years. She also appeared in three of the most well-known Portuguese series. Caminhos Magnetykos where Alba played "Catarina" as well as Equinocio (directed by Ivo Ferreira) are two examples of her work in film. In 2019, she was in the film Patrick, the directorial debut of Goncalo Waddington. The film was a part of the competition at San Sebastian International Film Festival, where it premiered. In 2020, she was in the feature film Fatima alongside Harvey Keitel, Sonia Braga and Joana Ribeiro. The film was directed by Marco Pontecorvo.Her first role in English was as the lead character Ava in the Netflix series Warrior Nun, which was released on July 2nd, 2020.She reprised her role in the second season which was released on November 10, 2022
