Valerie Anne Bertinelli (born April 23rd 1959) is an American actress from the United States. She made her debut as a child actress, playing Barbara Cooper Royer on the sitcom One Day at a Time (1975-1984) in which she received two Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Show, Miniseries or Television Film. Then, she became a star as Gloria in the shows Touched by an Angel (2001–2003) and Melanie Moretti (2010–2015), which resulted in a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. She was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012. Her shows include Valerie's Home Cooking (2015-2018) and Kids Baking Championship (2015). The latter was awarded two Daytime Emmy Awards out of six nominations. In December 2021, Bertinelli signed a new agreement with Food Network. 3. Bertinelli, who was married from 1981 to 2007 had a child with Eddie Van Halen. From 2011 until 2022, she was wed to Tom Vitale.
