Valerie Bertinelli

 After her appearance on an episode of Apple's Way, Bertinelli was approached by producer Norman Lear to audition for the role of cooperative daughter Barbara Cooper in a new sitcom titled One Day at a Time. The show first aired in late 1975, when Bertinelli was only 15 years old. She appeared in 208 episodes from the 209 before the show was cancelled on May 28 in 1984. In recognition of her performance, she received two Golden Globe Awards. In 2005's One Day at a Time Reunion Special, Bertinelli was together with her co-stars Bonnie Franklin, Mackenzie Phillips and Pat Harrington Jr. to see memorable scenes from the show's nine seasons. They discussed the exits of actors and Phillips's drug problemsthat led Phillips to be fired from his job. Bertinelli also starred in several miniseries as well as TV-produced films, and she has been a frequent guest on many television shows. In the 90s, she starred in two sitcoms with short lives: Sydney, as the protagonist, a private detective (with Matthew Perry and Craig Bierko) as well as Cafe Americain. In 2001, Bertinelli joined the cast of Touched by an Angel for the final two seasons of the show. In 2007, Bertinelli became a spokeswoman for the Jenny Craig program and appeared in commercials for a number of shows. [8] The following year, she published the autobiography Losing It: Making My Life Better One Pound at a time,[9] which culminates in an account of her Jenny Craig diet experience. In 2009, she published another book, Finding It: And Satisfying My Desire for Living Without opening the Fridge. In 2010 through 2015, she appeared on the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland along with Betty White, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves. After six seasons of success, the final episode aired on June 3 on June 3, 2015. Bertinelli hosted two shows on the Food Network, Valerie's Kitchen Cooking and Kids Baking Championship. Duff Goldman, a cake artist, was Bertinelli's first host. For her work on Valerie’s Home Cooking she was awarded two Daytime Emmy Awards. Bertinelli also was host of Family Food Showdown in 2019 and Family Restaurant Rivals in 2021. Bertinelli was confirmed as the lead actor alongside Demi Lovato in NBC's single camera comedy pilot Hungry in June 2021. In December 2021, Bertinelli signed a new agreement with Food Network. 3 Bertinelli published her memoir , Enough Already, Discovering the Love that I have for the person I am today in January 2022.
