 Ronda Jean Rousey (/'raUzi/;[12born January 1st, 1987) is an American professional wrestler, actress, former judoka, and mixed martial artist. She is currently signed with WWE. In her second stint she is the SmackDown Women's champion. Her participation competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship is what is what makes her the most well-known. 13 Roddy Piper was a professional wrestler who earned her the nickname "Rowdy". Rousey was the first American woman to earn an Olympic medal for judo during the 2008 Summer Olympics. Rousey started her career in mixed martial arts in 2011 in the company King of the Cage. She then joined Strikeforce, becoming their last Women's Bantamweight Champion until its acquisition by UFC. (2015) Rousey was part of the company's first female fight at UFC 157. She was the first women's bantamweight Champion. Valentina Shevchenko held that record until 2022. Rousey, who retired from MMA in 2016 was the first female fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame 2018. [Rousey began a career in professional wrestling in the year 2018, signing with WWE,[21] and debuted at WrestleMania 34. She took home the Raw Women's Championship at that year's SummerSlam, and headlined WWE's first all-women's live pay-per-view, when she defended her title in WWE Evolution. Rousey lost her title in the first-ever women's WrestleMania main event at WrestleMania 35. Rousey took the Royal Rumble 2022 women's Royal Rumble match. In a defeat she fought Charlotte Flair to the SmackDown Women's Championship at Wrestlemania 38. In WrestleMania Backlash the following month, Rousey defeated Flair in an "I Quit" match to take home the SmackDown Women's Championship. She lost the title to Liv Morgan due to a money-in-the-bank cash-in . She then regained her title at Extreme Rules making her a two-time SmackDown Womens Champion.
