Nick Cannon

 On the 14th of July, 2020, Nick Cannon was fired by ViacomCBS after making racist and anti-Semitic comments during an episode of his podcast Cannon's Class with Professor Griff. Cannon was a fan of conspiracy theories concerning Jewish control over finance, and declared that Jews were stealing "true Hebrews" identity. Cannon also cited Louis Farrakhan who is considered an anti-semite by both the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as well as the Anti-Defamation League. [37][3837][ 38 Cannon made other black supremacist statements. He described white people as "savages" and said that the only way in which they could be evil was through being closer to animals. ViacomCBS issued a statement saying that Cannon's employment relationship was terminated because of his promotion "hateful speech" and "anti-Semitic conspiracy theory". Cannon apologized for his comments regarding anti-Semitism two days after. He stated that he wanted to "reassure my Jewish friends, old and new, that this is just the beginning of my learning. "[42Cannon also asked that he be given full ownership of his podcast Wild 'n Out, and an apology from ViacomCBS for his dismissal. Fox was made aware of his podcast and consulted him. They acknowledged his apology and allowed him to keep hosting The Masked Singer. [44] He gave his first salary to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, in response to the incident. [45][46(464) ViacomCBS announced on February 5th, 2021 that Wild 'N Out will resume production. Cannon will be the host. ViacomCBS stated that Cannon has "taken the responsibility" for his actions and that he has "worked hard to improve his knowledge" through speaking to Jewish leaders.
