Mick Jagger

Sir Michael Philip Jagger, born on July 26, 1943, is an English singer/songwriter. He is most well-known for his role as the lead singer and founder of the rock band The Rolling Stones. His ongoing collaboration with Keith Richards is one of the most successful in history. Jagger's professional career spans more than six decades, and he is described as one of the most admired and influential frontmen throughout the time of rock music. His distinctive voice and energetic live shows, as well as Richards' guitar style, have been the Rolling Stones' trademark throughout the band's entire career. Jagger's illicit drug use and romantic relationships gained him a lot of press attention. He was also portrayed as a counterculture figure. Jagger was born in Dartford. After completing his studies at the London School of Economics, he was a member of the Rolling Stones to continue his studies. Jagger and Richards have written a majority of the Rolling Stones songs, and they continue to collaborate on music. In the late 1960s, Jagger starred in the films Performance (1970) and Ned Kelly (1970), to mixed reactions. Since the 1980s, he has released a variety of solo works, including four albums and the single "Dancing in the Street" which was a duet in 1985 with David Bowie that reached No. number one in the UK as well as Australia and was a top ten song in many other countries. In the early 2000s the band founded a film production firm, Jagged Films, and through them, he has produced feature films, starting with the 2001 historical thriller Enigma. In 1985, he released his first solo album, She's The Boss. He then joined SuperHeavy the electric supergroup. Relations with the Stones and their members, specifically Richards were strained during the 1980s, but Jagger has always found more success with the band than with his solo projects and other side projects. From 1971 until 1978 Jagger was married to Bianca Perez Mora Macias. There were also eight children with other relationships. In 1989, Jagger was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame in association with the Rolling Stones. As as a member of the Rolling Stones, and as the sole artist He made it to No. He climbed to the No. 1 on the UK singles charts with 13 singles. The top 10 had 32 singles, while the top 40 included 70 singles. In 2003, he was knighted for his services to popular music. The Genus Jaggermeryx naida and the type species Aegrotocatellus jaggeri are named for Jagger. Jagger is credited with his fashion and sexiness to rock and roll as well as being a trailblazer in pop music that later generations of musicians have been following.
