Sir Michael Philip Jagger, born on July 26, 1943, is an English singer/songwriter. He is best known for his role as the lead vocalist and founding member of the rock group The Rolling Stones. The ongoing collaboration between him and Keith Richards is one of the most successful collaborations in history. Jagger's professional career spans more than six decades, and he is called one of the most admired and influential frontmen in the time of rock music. Rolling Stones have always been known for their distinctive vocals and lively live performances. Richards also has a unique style of guitar. Jagger's drug addiction and romantic relationships earned his a lot of media attention. Jagger was also seen as a countercultural figure. Jagger was born in Dartford. After studying at the London School of Economics, Jagger joined the Rolling Stones to continue his studies. Jagger composed the majority of the Rolling Stones' songs together with Richards and they continue to collaborate musically. In the latter half of the 1960s, Jagger starred in the films Performance (1970) and Ned Kelly (1970), to mixed reviews. In the 1980s, he has released a variety of solo works which include four albums as well as the single "Dancing in the street" which was a duet in 1985 featuring David Bowie that reached No. He reached No. number one in Australia and the UK, and it was also a top 10 song in several other countries. The band co-founded Jagged Films in 2000, that produced feature-length films. The first film was the historical drama Enigma. He started a solo recording career in 1985, releasing his first album entitled She's the Boss and joined the supergroup SuperHeavy in 2009. The relationship with the Stones' members, particularly Richards suffered a decline in the 1980s. However, Jagger has always found more success with the band as opposed to his individual projects or separate projects. From 1971 until 1978, he was married to Bianca Perez Mora Macias. He also had eight children from other relationships. In 1989, Jagger was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame in association with the Rolling Stones. As a member of the Rolling Stones, and as a solo artist Jagger made it to the No. He reached No. 1 in the UK singles charts with 13 singles. The top 10 had 32 singles and the top 40 included 70 singles. In 2003, he was knighted for his contributions to the world of popular music.
