David Beckham

 David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) was a famous English former professional footballer. He is currently co-owner and president of Inter Miami CF, and coowner of Salford City. He is known for his versatility in passing, his ability to cross and his ability to bend free-kicks when he is a right winger, Beckham has been described as one of the most outstanding and most well-known midfielders of his generation, as well as one of the top set-piece specialists of all time He is the first English player to be awarded league titles in four different countries: England, Spain, the United States and France.Beckham's professional club career began at Manchester United, where he made his debut with the club in 1992 at the age of 17.With United, he won the Premier League title six times, the FA Cup twice, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999. The following season, he played with Real Madrid, winning the La Liga championship in his final season with the club.In July 2007 Beckham signed a five-year contract with Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy. He was an Galaxy player and played two loan seasons in Italy with AC Milan between 2009 and 2010. He was the first British footballer to participate in 100 UEFA Champions League games. In May 2013 after twenty years of playing, in which he took home 19 major trophies in international football, Beckham made his England debut on the 1st of September in 1996, at the age of 21. He was captain for six seasons and won 58 caps. He also participated in three FIFA World Cup tournaments (2002 2003, 2006 and 1998) as well as two UEFA European Championship tournaments (2000 and 2004). Beckham held the England outfield record of appearances up to 2016. Beckham is known as a iconic gay character due to his friendship with gay people and was a unique characteristic in the football world. But, this famous status has been subject to debate since Beckham has signed a sponsorship deal with Qatar that is known for its persecution of LGBT people, to become a brand ambassador for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.Beckham has always been ranked among the top earners in football and in 2013 was named the highest-paid athlete in the world. He earned more than $50 million in the past 12 months. Beckham is engaged to Victoria Beckham since 1999. They have four children. In 2014, MLS announced Beckham and investors from a group would be the new owners of Inter Miami CF. The team began play in 2020.
