Carrie Underwood

 Carrie Marie Underwood (born March 10, 1983)[1] is an American country music artist from the United States. She rose to prominence after she won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. Her hit single "Inside Your Heaven" made her the only country singer to be the first to chart atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the only solo country artist in the decade 2000 to have one of the top songs on the Hot 100. Some Hearts, her debut album, was accompanied by the crossover singles "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Before He Cheats". It became the most successful solo female debut album in the history of country music. The album was awarded three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. Carnival Ride (2007), her album that followed, featured one of the most successful opening weeks ever by any female artist. It also garnered two Grammy Awards. The album that she released her third studio album entitled Play On (2009), was preceded by the hit single "Cowboy Casanova" that had one of the largest single-week gains on the Hot 100.She achieved the second best-selling album by a woman in 2012 and also won a Grammy Award with her fourth album, Blown Away (2012). The compilation Greatest Hits: Decade#1 (2014) spawned the crossover single "Something in the Water". Storyteller, her fifth studio album, was her fifth. The only artist from the country genre to have all five of her first five albums reach the Billboard 200 charts at either first or second. Cry Pretty (2018) was her sixth studio album. It was the first woman to ever be a Billboard 200 top-five artist with four albums from the country genre. It was also the most popular week for any album by women in 2018. She debuted her debut Christmas album, My Gift, in 2020. She also released her the first gospel album, My Savior, in 2021, to critical acclaim. Her 2022 studio album, Denim & Rhinestones, marked a return to her classic country pop style.
