Seth Aaron Rogen, /'roUg@nwas born on the 15th of April 1982 in Vancouver. He is an actor, comedian and film maker from Canada. He began his career as a stand-up comic in Vancouver, he relocated to Los Angeles for a part in Juddah Apatow's TV show Freaks and Geeks, and later, he was cast in Apatow's sitcom Undeclared, which also hired him as a writer. After landing his job as a staff writer for the final season of Da Ali G Show, Apatow directed Rogen towards a film career. As a writer on staff, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Animated Series.His first film appearance was a
minor part in Donnie Darko (2001). Rogen was assigned as a support role in Apatow's film debut as a director, The 40 Year-Old Virgin (2006). Rogen was also named co-producer. Universal Pictures cast him in the leading role in Apatow’s films Knocked up (2007) and Funny People (2008). Rogen and his writing partner, Evan Goldberg, co-wrote the film Superbad (2007), Pineapple Express (2008), The Green Hornet (2011) and This Is the End (2013), and directed both This Is the End and The Interview (2014), all of which Rogen starred in. Rogen was also in the sitcom Neighbors (2014) and its sequel from 2016, The Disaster Artist (2017, 2019) and the American Pickle(2020).
