Sophia Loren

 Sofia Costanza Brigida Villani Scicolone who is also known as Sophia Loren Italian: ('lo:ren), is an Italian actress. The American Film Institute named her one of the greatest female stars of Classical Hollywood cinema. In 2022, she's one of the last major stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema and is the only remaining living person to be on the AFI's list of 25 most influential female actors, which is ranked at number 21.

Loren was just sixteen years old when she was crowned an award in a beauty contest, began acting lessons in 1950. At the start of the decade, she played a few minor parts and in small roles, but her Paramount five-picture deal in 1956 made her an international superstar. It Started in Naples, Houseboat and The Pride and the Passion were some of her film roles. She appeared in movies during the 1950s as a sexually emancipated charactera. She holds the record of earning seven David di Donatello Awards for Best Actress: Two Women; Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (1963); Marriage Italian Style (1964 in which she was nominated to win another Oscar); Sunflower (1970); The Voyage (1974); A Special Day (1977) and The Life Ahead (2020). She has received five special Golden Globes (including the Cecil B. DeMille Award) and an BAFTA Award, a Laurel Award and the Grammy Award, the Volpi Cup for Best Actress during the Venice Film Festival and the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival. She received the Academy Honorary Award in 1991 for her lifetime achievements.
