Norm Macdonald

 Orman Gene Macdonald[iorman Gene Macdonald[i] (October 17 1959[ii] - September 14 2021) was a Canadian stand-up comedian actor, writer, and actor. His stand-up performance was awkward and almost stuttering with plenty of old-fashioned words and turns of phrases. Macdonald appeared in several films, and was a regular guest on late-night talk shows in which he was known for his shaggy dog stories.Early in his career, Macdonald's first television work involved writing for such comedies like Roseanne as well as The Dennis Miller Show. Macdonald was hired in 1993 to write and a cast participant for Saturday Night Live (SNL). He spent five seasons on the show, which included hosting the Weekend Update segment for three-and-a-half seasons. [5] He was removed as host of the show's Weekend Update in 1998, because he was accused of repeatedly ridiculing O. J. Simpson during the trial of his murder infuriating producer Don Ohlmeyer, of whom Simpson was a close associate. The show was canceled in 1998. SNL in 1998. [6][7] He wrote and starred as Dirty Work, and he hosted his own sitcom The Norm Show between 1999 and 2001. Macdonald was also a voice actress and acted in roles for Family Guy and Mike Tyson Mysteries as well as The Orville and Dr. Dolittle films. He hosted The Norm Show from 1999 to 2001, during which the show featured interviews with comedians and celebrities. In 2016, he wrote Based on a True Story which was a novel that told an incredibly fictionalized account of his life. Macdonald succumbed to leukemia in September 2021. It was a disease that he had not previously revealed publicly. Macdonald was 61 old at the time. age at the time.
