Michelle Pfeiffer

 Michelle Marie Pfeiffer (/'faIf@rMichelle Marie Pfeiffer (born April 29 1958) is an American actress and producer. A prolific performer , whose screen appearances span over forty years, she became one of the most lucrative Hollywood celebrities and a sex icon of renown in the 1980s and 1990s. Numerous awards have been awarded to her which include a Golden Globe Award as well as an award from the British Academy Film Award. She was also nominated for three Academy Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award. She was honored with an honorary star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007. Pfeiffer briefly studied court-stenography before deciding to go into acting. Her career began with a few minor television and film performances in 1978, she landed her first lead role in Grease 2 (1982), that was a failure both commercially and critically. Disillusioned with being typecast in non-descript roles of beautiful women, she seeking out more challenging material, earning her breakout role in 1983 as the gangster moll Elvira Hancock in Scarface. Further success was achieved with performances in Married to the Mob (1988) and The Witches of Eastwick ( 1987), where she was nominated for her first of six consecutive Golden Globe Awards.
