Joan Blondell

 Joan Blondell, born Rose Joan Bluestein on August 30, 1906, and died on December 25, 1979. She was an American actress[11. When she won the beauty contest and a movie career. She was a Pre-Code actor for Warner Bros. Pictures, performing sexy, wisecracking characters in more than 100 films and television productions. The 1930s and 1940s, Blondell was the most active on film, and appeared in nine films alongside Glenda Farrell (a close acquaintance and coworker). Blondell continued to appear in film and television throughout her life, usually in minor supporting roles. Blondell was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 1951 for her performance in The Blue Veil. She was also nominated in 1977 for the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in Opening Night. Two other films featured Blondell, such as the blockbuster musical Grease (1978) as well as Franco Zeffirelli's The Champ (1979), just before her death from leukemia.
