Jack Nicholson

 John Joseph Nicholson (born April 22 1937) is an American retired actor and film maker. [1] He is considered one of the most important actors of all time. He was a fierce opponent of the social system in many of his films. The actor received a variety of awards throughout his career that was spanning five decades and included three Academy Awards.His most well-known and acclaimed films include Chinatown (1974), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), The Shining (1980) as well as The Departed (2006). Three of his movies are the sequel to Chinatown, The Two Jakes (1990). The actor is also the Academy Award nominee for Best Actor. Nicholson has been awarded the Academy Award for Best Actor twice, once for the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) and another for the film As Good as It Gets (1997) and also won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Terms of Endearment (1983). He is one three times Academy Award winner and the only actor to have been nominated for an Academy Award in acting in films from the 1960s through the early 2000s. He was awarded six Golden Globe Awards, and the Kennedy Center Honor in 2001. He was one of the youngest actors to receive the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award in 1994.
