Hugh Michael Jackman, born 12 October 1968 in Australia is an actor. He began his career in television and theatre. In 2000 He was cast in the role of James "Logan", a part that made him the first Australian actor to portray the character of Wolverine/Wolverine on 20th Century Fox X-Men. The part was a huge success and earned him the Guinness World Record (2000-2017) for the "longest career as a live-action Marvel characters" and was broken in 2021. [2] Jackman has won numerous awards , including two Tony Awards, a Grammy Award as well as an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Jackman was named to be a Companion of the Order of Australia in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours for services to the performing arts and the international community. Jackman has been in numerous films throughout his career. This includes the romantic comedy Kate & Leopold (1901), the action-horror Van Helsing (2004) and the period romance Australia (2008). Jackman was also a Companion of the Order of Australia in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours for the contribution to performing arts and to the international community. As the character Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, Jackman was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, and for The Greatest Showman, he received the Grammy Award for Best Soundtrack Album. He also provided voice roles in the animated films Flushed Away, Happy Feet (both 2006), Rise of the Guardians (2012) as well as Missing Link (2019).
